There are four different kinds of bullying:
- Physical bullying; meaning a kid hitting, harassing, or slapping another kid. Physical bullying can lead to crime, deaths, and many negative solutions. Many people who bully don't realize what they're doing to the victim's life. It gives them fear and pain, and also low self-esteem. According to the website, www.bullyingstatistics.org, "physical bullying is a serious issue. It doesn't affect only the victim and the bully, but other students who witness the bully. People should be aware on how to handle it." Physical bullying is somewhat different from verbal and emotional bullying. Physical bully hurts from the inside, and the outside. It has a stronger effect to victims. This picture below shows an example of physical bullying.
- Verbally; meaning a kid taunting, name calling, or spreading rumors about another kid. Leads to low self-esteem, suicides, and negative thoughts. For some people words don't hurt them, but many people are hurt by words. The website, simpleact.org, "because of bullying, 160,000 kids in the US stay home from school every day. 83% of bullying incidents receive no intervention and continue to happen. Bullies are four times more likely to engage in criminal behavior as an adult and often develop suicidal thoughts. Male bullying more often consists of verbal and physical abuse, whereas female bully more commonly use more verbal abuse and social bullying by spreading of rumors." Emotional and verbal bullying is really similar to each other. They both have the same cause and effects to victims, and also bullies. This picture below shows an example of verbal bullying.
- Emotionally; meaning a kid putting someone else down, making them have low self-esteem. Bullies seems to put someone down because they want something from them, or they just want to feel more powerful. Verbal, physical, and cyber bullying all leads to emotional bullying. The website states, www.healthyplace.com, "emotional bullying isn't just seen on the playground; emotional bullying, although likely subtler, is seen in adult relationships and workplaces too." Emotional bully can also lead to damages in the brain causing mental sickness, health issues, and low test scores. This picture below shows an example of emotional bullying.
- Cyber bullying; meaning a kid bully another kid in the internet or on technology. Cyber bullying is the easiest way to bully another kid. The internet covers the bully's face, so no one knows who they are, no one can do anything about it unless they actually knew who the bully were. People have a lot of pride on the internet, but in person, they seems to not act, unless they're really eager to. according to the website, www.cyberbullying.org, by Bill Belsey, "Cyberbullying involves the use of information and communication technologies to support deliberate, repeated, and hostile behavior by an individual or group, that is intended to harm others." The internet is where adults, or older people don't have axis to because they don't know how to use the computer as much as the teens do. This picture below shows an example of cyber bullying.
